United Technologies Targets Gender Parity in Leadership Positions by 2030; Joins Paradigm for Parity℠ Coalition

Today United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) has joined the Paradigm for Parity℠ (P4P) coalition, pledging its commitment to achieving gender parity across all levels of corporate leadership. As part of this pledge, UTC has joined fellow member companies in adopting a five-step plan geared towards achieving gender parity across the organization.

"UTC is counting on our ability to attract, develop and retain a diverse workforce to fuel the innovation and growth of the future," said UTC Chairman and CEO Greg Hayes. "UTC is committed to the advancement of women in leadership positions – and we are proud to join the Paradigm for Parity Coalition to put this commitment into action."

Research has shown that gender-balanced leadership leads to superior financial and stock market performance. P4P provides member companies with a five-step action plan to accelerate the pace of gender parity and effectively increase the number of women of all backgrounds in leadership positions.

In addition to increasing the number of women in leadership roles, the Paradigm for Parity℠ coalition's goals also include minimizing or eliminating unconscious bias, broadening the talent pool and providing both mentorship and sponsorship to women of potential.

The goals of P4P are in line with UTC's overall commitment to diversity and inclusion and are geared towards helping all employees achieve long-term success in their careers.
