PARIS AIR SHOW, Paris, June 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing has selected UTC Aerospace Systems for multiple systems for the new Boeing 777X large, twin-engine jet. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

"Our team is honored to provide such a broad suite of products to the 777X," said Gail Baker, vice president, Aerospace Customers and Business Development. "These systems not only comprise proven technologies from our systems experience on the Boeing 777, but will also contain new technical solutions to support the improved performance and operating efficiencies of the 777X."

UTC Aerospace Systems' 777X electric power generating system is a completely new main electrical generation system, providing 25 percent more power than the current 777 system, which is also supplied by UTC Aerospace Systems. The 777X system comprises two 150 kVA integrated drive generators, an auxiliary generator, three generator control units and a bus power control unit.

In addition UTC Aerospace Systems will supply a suite of sensors for various 777X functions, including specialty heating, waste and water management, and air data systems such as angle of attack, temperature and pitot pressure, for enhanced flight safety and efficiency.
