Pratt & Whitney China Customer Training Center Provides An Improved GTF™ Engine Training Experience

AIR SHOW CHINA , Zhuhai, November 6 , 2018 – Pratt & Whitney China Customer Training Center (CCTC) has upgraded its services to facilitate an improved GTF™ engine training experience for regional customers by adding a GTF training engine and utilizing advanced digital tools. CCTC is a key component of Pratt & Whitney’s GTF support strategy in China. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Pratt & Whitney CCTC recently renovated its facility—from its classrooms to the engine shop—and welcomed the first GTF training engine to China, a PW1100G-JM engine, with a full set of maintenance tools.
“With the GTF training engine on site, our customers in China as well as in the region receive a better GTF training experience with more direct learning. It is our top priority to ensure a world-class customer training experience,” said Lily Fu, general manager, Pratt & Whitney China Customer Training Center.
Pratt & Whitney CCTC also deploys advanced digital tools, such as the virtual reality (VR) and animation courseware, to help customers better understand aircraft engines in an interactive and inspiring way. The digital enhancements in training have been well received by customers.

Pratt & Whitney China Customer Training Center is a joint venture between the United Technologies Far East Ltd. and the China Aviation Supplies Holding Company. Established in 2002, the Center provides customized engine and management training courses for customers from more than 20 countries. Operating at a state-of-the-art facility with an engine shop, CCTC delivers more than 7,500 Student Training Days a year.
