Pratt & Whitney Signs Exhaust System Component Distribution Agreement with Satair Group
MRO ASIA, November 1, 2017 – Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Satair Group, a leading provider of aftermarket services and solutions for the civil aerospace industry, for the exclusive distribution of PW4000 100-inch engine nacelle exhaust system parts.
Under the terms of the agreement, Satair Group will distribute the spare parts to Pratt & Whitney’s worldwide customer base. Satair Group will also maintain customer orders and fulfillment for the life of the program and has already taken over distribution duties.
“Through this agreement with Pratt & Whitney, we will add exhaust system parts into our parts portfolio to provide an even broader product offering to our customers. This comes on top of the thrust reverser component distribution agreement we signed with Pratt & Whitney in 2016. We are happy to see our relationship expand, and we look forward to the opportunity to provide additional value-added services to both our customers and Pratt & Whitney,” said Steen Karsbo, vice president of business development, Satair Group.
“Our mission is to provide our customers with the highest level of Aftermarket support throughout the engine’s lifecycle under the Pratt & Whitney EngineWise™ service brand,” said Earl Exum, Pratt & Whitney’s vice president, Transactional Aftermarket. “We are pleased that our PW4000 engine customers will have expanded use of Satair Group’s worldwide distribution network.”
