In 2012, Pratt & Whitney North Berwick was invited to participate in a golf tournament sponsored by Howe & Howe Technologies in Waterboro, Maine. Howe & Howe Technologies organized this first annual tournament to raise funds for their Outdoors Again project. Outdoors Again will be the world's first outdoor recreation park for disabled individuals and their families, complete with fishing, hunting, canoeing, kayaking, golfing and other activities.

A four-man team represented our North Berwick facility as a gold-level sponsor, donating $500. In 2013, Pratt & Whitney North Berwick continued to support Howe & Howe Technologies by donating another $10,000 to Outdoors Again. Because of Pratt & Whitney's support, Howe & Howe Technologies presented the facility with a recognition plaque, expressing their thanks and showing what these dollars are helping to support.

Pratt & Whitney is proud to support this project and will continue to follow the progress of this innovative and inspirational park. Another $5,000 will be donated in 2014. The Outdoors Again park is located on Prospect Hill road in Lebanon, Maine. To date there have been several very successful events held in support of getting the disabled Outdoors Again!

"We can't thank Pratt & Whitney enough for the generous donations in 2013 and 2014," said Geoff Howe, CEO of Howe & Howe Technologies, and founder of Outdoors Again. "The difference it has made, getting people back outdoors, doing things they never thought they would again, is indescribable!"
