Express Elevator Introduces Homex™ 7100 Elevator

SUZHOU, China, Jan. 18, 2017 — Express Elevator Co, Ltd. (“Express China”) has introduced the Homex 7100, a new mini-machine-room passenger elevator especially designed for China’s residential segment. The new high-performance system features leading Otis components and smart controls to enhance efficient operation and passenger comfort. Adding value for property developers and residents, the Homex 7100 also offers flexible design options to complement a variety of architecture styles. Founded in England almost 140 years ago, Express Elevator is a brand of Otis, the world’s leading manufacturer and maintainer of people-moving products, including elevators, escalators and moving walkways. Otis is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

“With the release of the Express Homex 7100 elevator, we continue our mission to bring more reliable and efficient world-class products to property developers, along with a pleasant riding experience for passengers,” said Felix Qin, president, Express China.

Powerful, safe and efficient

The core of the Homex 7100 elevator was redesigned to optimize performance. Equipped with high-performance drive, control and door systems, the Homex 7100 is manufactured to meet safety standards that are higher than industry requirements, and fully complies with the safety requirements for residential and commercial buildings in China. The Homex 7100 elevator also features recently designed hall and car doors, and features a new structural car design to enhance its ruggedness and stability. Express Elevator follows the Otis standards in research, product development and design, quality control and safety management.

Comfortable, practical, flexible and smart

To enhance the passenger experience, the Homex 7100 elevator offers a simple interface and 180-degree full-view display, along with a double-fan design that greatly increases the air volume in the car and lowers noise compared to the last generation of products. The vibration-absorbing design of the hoist beam and new load-monitoring sensors improve stability at start-up and during operation to further enhance passenger comfort.

The Homex 7100 also offers more flexible design options to meet the needs of each building, with options to improve space utilization and provide more possibilities for architectural design.
